The Grand Hotel Rimini invites you to discover one of the most ancient music festivals in Italy.
The first edition dates back to 1950 when the then Superintendent to the Bologna Theatre was charged to organize a major symphonic music festival in Rimini.
This was meant to give the tourists in Rimini one more reason to spend some more time in the beautiful town by the sea, after the traditional summer holidays. Since then, the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana has become more and more important and successful at a national and international level.
Today, the Festival’s programmes include the most important conductors, soloists and orchestras worldwide for the joy of all the symphonic music lovers.
The Festival’s programme includes symphonic, jazz and baroque music and organises also special appointments such as “The Sunday concerts” or BWV Bach, etc., always of a very high level.
The Grand Hotel Rimini, which was capable of bewitching the genius of Fellini and that is now nearly totally renovated, is partner to the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana. On occasion of the prestigious cultural event, the hotel proposes a special stay, a real full immersion in music and history.
